Trust is a funny thing.

When there is strong bond of trust, or full trust (rare, but perhaps applicable in specific contexts)… then you are incredibly strong. You can conquer mountains together, you can withstand the “slings and arrows of outrageous fortune”.

But trust can also be incredibly fragile. Once broken, it is irretrievably and irredeemably broken.

And perhaps the stronger and deeper the bond of trust, and implicit reliance on that trust as a fundamental truth, the deeper is the impact of a break of trust.

Especially when the breakdown is supposedly the person’s hallmark. And when redlines are crossed.
