Having not been to Hampstead for a while – perhaps since last summer – I visited Hampstead Village and the Heath again this weekend, and reminded of how much I love the place.

I met my school friend for lunch then made the hike up, and spent a lovely afternoon having a crepe, strolling, sitting, and chatting.

On the way back, I walked through the dodgy, hidden passages of London. I’ve walked along these grungy, grimy paths before. But it has been a while, so I’ve slightly forgotten some of the ‘tricks’, and by the time I started on my way back, I was slightly worried about it getting dark, and me possibly getting lost and / or encountering unsavory characters.

But my approach in these situations, is to have my chin up, walk confidently (maybe even with a slight swagger), and make no eye contact. #NoFear #TrueLondoner. Lol

Barbed wire, anyone?
Hidden route. I actually walked round and round the car park of this area trying to find an exit so I could get on “the blue line” on my app for ~15 minutes, until a guy asked me what I was looking for / where I was trying to get to. And then he said – the exit is there, next to the yellow sign. Really??! With the chain and all? Didn’t even see it!
Another hidden passage I almost missed
