Day 5. My energy is still lower than usual. Sometimes I feel slightly groggy and foggy, although I think that’s because I’ve cut out caffeine. My jaw / surgery site only feels occasionally and mildly tender. But generally I feel mostly good – maybe because I sleep more, eat less and more healthily, and try to avoid stress where I can.

Apple Health has noticed I haven’t been exercising much and sent me a notification on my lower-than-trend calorie burn over the last few days. Haha.

Nonetheless, I’ve been losing weight pretty rapidly and steadily over the past few days (most of it undoubtedly water)…

… probably because of my virtually unvarying diet of blended spinach and congee, steamed egg, and steamed fish.

It’s a bit boring, but it’s almost like a detox of sorts. No coffee, no sugar… I had wanted to try doing a “juice fast”, but my blended juice has bits in it, which would be bad for teeth. So I haven’t even done a proper detox juice.

I’m using the downtime to clear up a bit (very marginally), do Black Friday shopping (possibly the first time in my life I’ve done it), and take care of myself – sleep more, and also get a lump checked out. I’m going to see a doctor tomorrow. Hopefully it’s nothing much (I can’t imagine it being dire), and can be excised on my private medical insurance. Apparently the NHS doctor said that unless I’m virtually dying, it’s unlikely I can get it removed on NHS anytime soon.
