More discarding today, although the second load was only a mattress, the one which had acted as O’s “bed frame” for a few years when he had no bed.

Went for Thursday Hills session, my first in a long time. I really shouldn’t be running, but hills training is always low volume anyway, and Garmin programmed a Hills session anyway, and let’s face it, the in person coached Hill session is just way better than the Garmin hills programme. I just about managed to finish the full session as programmed, although I felt a ligament / tendon near my hip twinge.

I decided to try building the set of drawers I bought from Ikea. I figured – how difficult can it be? And besides, I want to feel like an independent woman, instead of a helpless one. MHH can only come by again in a couple of weeks, and I’d really like to get the place better before CNY.

I almost failed at the first pass, when I struggled to get the first couple of screws in. I felt really discouraged and wondered if I had bitten off more than I can chew after my two successful builds. But I tried again after I finished Hills training and had dinner, and it went better. I even managed to overcome a section requiring two people and build the overall frame. But when I tried to flip it over, the stupid frame fell apart, and it took several tries to put it back together again. Not good. :-/

But I’ll try again tomorrow. As Scarlett O’ Hara says “After all… tomorrow is another day”
