I’m trying to be as good a patient as I can be. I’m not running, minimising my sitting, I’m resting, I’m icing, I’m popping ibuprofen like candy. I’ve even changed the way I sleep to try to keep my leg straight / psoas stretched out. Will try to find time next week to walk on treadmill at an incline to help maintain my cardio capacity (and apparently walking also good for psoas), as advised. I’m really struggling to remain sedentary.
Apparently it could also be stress and trauma related.

Since I’m not allowed to do running or leg exercises, or even most of the hip rehab exercises my online physio had suggested.. and I figured I should take a bit of a break from upper body after 3 consecutive days of work (2 days of shoulder to overhead press + 1 day of aerial loops), I just decided to quickly check in on my shoulder stand. It seems that I can still get up into shoulder stand on parallelettes, even though I’ve only tried it in one gym session before. Although my legs are not fully vertical, and my form is poor – back slightly arched, rather than in hollow hold position. But I just did it quickly to check rather than work on it, because I’m trying to remain moderate and not strain and re-injure my shoulder.
