I set up the digital piano in O’s room a few weeks back, and finally connected it to power the last couple of days, and O has taken to trying to learn piano on his own, using the piano books I bought when they were young, and applying his sight reading.

F on the other hand, having browsed a printout of some old work papers which had bar charts showing the market cap of different companies, asked me, “So Mama, is it right that the owners of this company (pointing at the highest bar chart) will be very rich, because when they sell the company, they will get 277B?” Yes indeed. What a smarty pants. I’m surprised that he was curious enough to read slides with bar charts, and then even more surprised that he correctly interpreted the charts. Attaboy!
