I had a bit of FOMO that most of the “TiT” group were in Chicago for the Hyrox World Championships this past weekend (14-15 June), and I wasn’t, not having qualified. But it wasn’t too bad in the end, because we could watch replays of the Elite races, HV sent lots of updates (photos and videos) to the Hyrox gym group, I could follow along with HV’s and the Pro Bros’ race progress, and there was a lot of general chatter in the group. Oceans apart, but close at heart.

The fact that I had a busy weekend, and was exhausted from the week before, also helped. On Saturday, I went to the Cartier Exhibition at the V&A with ‘Aunty M’, then went for ‘Phantom Peaks’, an immersive experience for my friend’s CJ’s birthday, and a cocktail at Nightjar Carnaby to end the night. I had a quieter Sunday. I had intended to go to gym, but I woke up too late, and so just visited the Chinese temple, had lunch at Singapulah, did some Chinatown grocery shopping, and then went home to finish up some work (more business case, and Board paper updates!), and started rewatching “FUBAR” on Netflix.
