This felt like quite a hectic day.
It was our third day in a port. We docked in Hellesylt, a tiny village with less than 300 inhabitants.

The boys and I visited Hellesylt on a quick walking tour around the village after breakfast, before returning to the ship. We went to the Infinity Pool (for the first time) for a quick swim, F practiced violin briefly, then we went for our “onshore experience”, Geiranger on our own by transfer cruise.

O fell asleep on the transfer cruise on the way out, missing out on all the waterfall sights – the Seven Sisters, The Suitor and The Bridal Veil (which looked the same on Google images, frankly), and other nameless falls.

Lunch at Brasserie Posen, as recommended by Google AI. The fish soup was super yummy, but the kids had pizza instead. Then a quick walk along the Fossevandring (Waterfall Walk), and back to the ferry terminal to wait for our trip back. The ferry was 45 minutes late, and the boys were getting frustrated and unruly. I had two work calls to do, one of which I did at the ferry terminal, the other one on the ferry, where I had to present a section of the slide to the background noise of the ferry engine.

An early dinner, the we watched a show at Headliner’s Theatre, a short Take That musical.

Then back to the cabin, where we watched multiple episodes of Cobra Kai before bedtime. The boys were amazed that it was still light out close to midnight.
