Another early morning swim, back in the SkyDome pool, which is longer, and allows me to complete two cycles of my swimming drills per length. It was quite busy this morning. I guess people have twigged to the secret of the early morning swim. I definitely struggle to practice my drills in a busy swimming pool.
Breakfast, then a Nordic Walk to Rising Tides ‘onshore experience’, which lasted well over 4 hours, covering almost 13KM.

The kids were complaining a lot during the course of the walking tour – too long, too boring, too slow. But I reminded O especially that I had booked this cruise because Norway (and specifically Norwegian fjords) were on his list of “top countries he wanted to visit next”.

I then went onshore for an Easy Run after a heavy lunch – my last onshore run for this trip. I was really tired, and also worried about making it back to the ship in time, so I didn’t venture far afield.

Came back to the Iona, and headed straight to the gym after a quick check in with the boys. The gym was really packed, so I just did a bit of ad hoc strength training with whatever free equipment and weights I could get (press, Bulgarian split squat, weighted lunges, dumb bell chest fly) and then a stretching class. I was really gassed doing the lunges. I can’t imagine racing a Hyrox in just a week’s time!
