I finally resigned today, which went well. My smoothest resignation so far. I hate resigning, so I was kind of dreading it. Now that it’s done, it’s just such a relief. While I still have some work to finish up, July and August should be much more relaxing.
After a series of crappy runs, where I was downgraded to “Review” and “Monitoring”, I took a couple of days’ break from running and working out, and went back to running today. I was super exhausted in the morning and was dreading the intervals session. Given I felt gassed doing a 7:00min/km “Easy Run” on Saturday, I wasn’t expecting to be able to sustain 5:25min/km for 1.2K, and then progressively increase pace, albeit at declining distances. But I did really well actually – I even managed to run 200M @ sub-4:00min/km (!!) – so I’m really pleased. Also it’s ridiculous how exhausted I am at the end of the day after the intervals.

I recently started watching Atypical, a comedy-drama series about an autistic teen and his family. It’s been really good so far. In maybe the first episode, Sam the autistic kid, says to his dad that he doesn’t want to date anymore because it’s too hard, and his dad said to him, it’s hard for everyone, not just you.
